Introduction of WPC:
Wood Plastic Composites, referred to as WPC, is made primarily from wood or cellulose based materials and thermoplastic, with the wood or cellulose based materials and thermoplastic separately made into processing unit, then mixed in proportion,and finally by moulding processing. This material combines the advantages of both wood or cellulose based  materials and polymer material. It is an ideal substitute for timber and steel in many areas.
WPC is widely used in landscaping, building materials, interior decoration, highway, railway, subway, ship, ports, docks, aviation, advertising, gift packaging, logistics, automotive parts, industrial, agricultural, teaching equipment, sports equipment, civilian facilities, municipal facilities, business places, home appliances and daily supplies. Because of its excellent weather resistance, WPC is especially suitable for outdoor recreation, sports and landscape areas near water.

Performance and Features:
(1) It is a typical environmentally friendly material, with a wide variety of sources of raw materials. It does not contain formaldehyde and other harmful substances and is 100% recyclable.
(2) It has a natural wood look and texture, with a fine surface and strong affinity. It can be applicable in different geographical environments, such as high temperature, low temperature, intense UV radiation and so on.
(3) It has a good dimensional stability, low water absorption, good flame retardance. Also it is decay and insect resistant, wear resistant, acid and alkali resistant. 
(4) This material has good mechanical properties: It has dual processing characteristics of wood and plastic. Its processing method is convenient. It can be applied to a variety of wood processing methods. It can be cut, bond, fixed with screws or bolts.
(5) WPC products can be customized flexibly. And a variety of colorful, textured WPC products can be made by adding a coloring agent and taking various post-processing technologies.
(6) WPC has a long service life. And it is economical and practical. On average, its service life is five times longer than wood. WPC proves to be a low maintenance. It doesn't need regular maintenance and painting. The comprehensive cost of WPC is 1/3~1/4 of the wood.
 
Classification:
Wood plastic composites is made of a unique combination of thermoplastic and wood fibers. And the thermoplastic section can be get from polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polystyrene (PS), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and so on, with new materials, recycled material or the mixture of both. The fiber section can be get from sawdust, wood chips, bamboo shavings, rice husk, wheat straw, soybean hulls, peanut shells, bagasse, cotton stalks and other low-value biomass fibers.
